DAY 7 - THE THRESHING FLOOR

We have completed our first week, praise the Lord! What a powerful week it has been. Before we dive in today, I want to quickly remind everyone that our fast should not ONLY be about what food we can or can't eat. Remember Isaiah 58 and true fasting: providing for those in need. Loving that covers a multitude of sins! If we do our "IF/WHEN", God will release the "THEN" and we will see our light break forth like the dawn and the rivers of living water will burst forth!

As I shared yesterday, God has revealed to me the things that MUST be separated...must be threshed out of my life. The attacks from the enemy have ramped up but I say, "Thank you King of Glory for fighting my battles. Thank you Holy Spirit for revealing my mistakes so that I may repent. Thank you Father of Light for shining your Holy light in my life!"

As I have shared on FB, we are entering a season of separation where God is going to separate the real from the fake, the true from the false, the sheep from the wolves, and the wheat from the chaff. The hidden sins will come to the forefront and just as Jael drove the tent peg through the enemy while he slept (Judges 4), so too will God be driving a peg through His church. Let's not get caught sleeping in the enemy's tent.

But the threshing floor is, most importantly, for the Bride of Christ. The threshing floor is a place where the wheat is taken to be flailed, or beaten, so the inedible husks could be broken off of the edible grain. God will be revealing and breaking off everything inedible in our lives so that what is left can be made into holy bread dipped into the oil of His anointing. This process of flailing (refining) can hurt. God is showing us things that we either didn't know existed or we did know but pretended it didn't.

No more pretending! Let us recognize what God is showing us and begin the threshing process. Sure, it may take you some time to destroy the cigarettes/vape/wine/TV show/phone/ice cream/record of wrongs/bitterness/etc. but it is time to say, "This starts TODAY!"

God is so gracious and merciful, He has His arms wide open and He is ready to fight our battles, we just have to give them to Him and not take them back. This is one of my major struggles. It is easy for me to give Him a battle but I take it back. Lord forgive me, I repent.

PRAYER FOCUS: Pray that you are open to the threshing process, no matter how tough it may be. Remember, God is doing this to bring us through a sanctification process and bring us closer to Him.

SCRIPTURE FOCUS: ISAIAH 27:1-13
